Røros Church

Røros Church - also called "The pride of the mining town" - was built in the golden age of the Røros Copper Company. The building was finished in 1784 and is one of the largest churches in Norway, with 1600 seats.

  • 11 September – 31 May: Thursday and Saturday 12.00
  • 01 June– 19 June/ 15 August – 10 September: Every day 12.00*
  • 20 June – 15 August: Every day 12.00 - 14.00* – 16.00

* Guided tour in English. During autumn, winter and spring season all tours are offered in English and Norwegian.

NB! Church events take precedence in Røros Church, and the guided tour may be cancelled due to Sunday services, weddings, baptisms etc.
