Open Craftsmen's Meeting – Inspection of the Shed Project at Korssjøen

We will review the completed Shed project and examine the birch bark covering of the old sod roof.

  • 1/1

Thursday, June 13th, 5-7 PM

Departure and carpooling from Kurantgården at 4:40 PM.

The farms at Korssjøen were important for the travel routes and long-distance transportation in the past when horses were the mode of transport for the copperworks. From here, one could follow well-suited and extensive lakes and waterways southeast towards Femund and Sweden. Even today, it remains a unique cultural environment that the Shed Project helps to repair and maintain.

Arild Bjarkø will demonstrate and discuss the restoration, challenges, and discoveries.

Coffee will be served.

Free and open to everyone.
